Welcome to The Pastor's Desk (the "Service"), operated by The Pastor's Desk ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at www.atthepastorsdesk.com (the "Website") and the SaaS platform, including any content, features, and services offered through it. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

The Pastor's Desk is a ministry management software designed for pastors and ministry leaders. It provides tools for sermon preparation (e.g., lectionary support, outline builder, series planner), community networking (e.g., forums, job board), task management (e.g., calendar sync, board reports), and pastoral care (e.g., care tracker, church directory import).  We offer a 7-day free trial with full access, followed by a monthly subscription of $10.99.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and have the authority to enter into these Terms.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Trial Period: New users receive a 7-day free trial. Payment information is required upfront.

• Subscription: After the trial, access requires a monthly subscription fee of $10.99, billed automatically via our payment processor (e.g., Stripe or similar).

• Cancellation: You may cancel anytime through your account settings. No refunds for partial months; access ends at the billing period's close.

• Changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Taxes and fees are your responsibility.

• Payment Security: Payments are processed securely by third-party providers; we do not store full payment details.
   

5. User Content and Conduct

• You may upload content such as pastoral notes, church directories, or forum posts ("User Content"). You retain ownership but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display it as needed to provide the Service.

• Prohibited Conduct: Do not use the Service to:

  • Violate laws or third-party rights.

  • Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content.

  • Harass others or spam.

  • Reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service.

  • Impersonate others.

• We may remove User Content or suspend access for violations, without liability.
   

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service (excluding User Content), including software, designs, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission. Use is limited to personal, non-commercial purposes unless otherwise agreed.

7. Third-Party Integrations

The Service integrates with third-party tools (e.g., calendar sync, Wix for the Website, Lovable for hosting). These are governed by their terms; we are not responsible for their performance or privacy practices.
 

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access at any time for violations, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data (subject to our Privacy Policy). Sections surviving termination include disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.
 

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. Use at your own risk.
 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the prior 12 months.
 

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service, User Content, or violations of these Terms.
 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of laws principles. 
 

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with notice via email or the Service. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
